For those who have been wondering, “when will we have a supportive & helpful new or full moon chart?” For those who have been waiting patiently (or impatiently) for the stars to align, to charge your crystals, to set your intentions…
Now is the time. This new moon chart is by far the most helpful and supportive chart I have seen in many months. The lead-up to the new moon over the last 2 weeks has been a powerful portal, especially if you’ve been working with all the Capricorn energy. (I talk more about that on my new Substack here).
This chart is setting us up with extremely fertile soil for planting your long term visions and intentions. You do not want to skip working with this chart. Let’s break it down.
First of all, LOOK AT ALL THAT CAPRICORN! Capricorn energy is extremely helpful right now, after months of so much emotional energy being stirred up by that Chiron square to Jupiter in Cancer, we are ready for some grounded and practical energy, and that is exactly what Capricorn brings.
Capricorn is cardinal Earth, and brings us in touch with our ambition, direction, decisiveness, and long term goals and intentions. This chart is extremely supportive and nurturing to our long term desires, whatever seeds we plant under these skies are built to last, and has the potential to go the distance.
Capricorn supports us in creating stable and secure foundations. It is where we build the structures that will hold the visions we will plant when the season changes and spring begins to bloom. This season is about reaching internal clarity about what we are building towards. Capricorn is about legacy and longevity.
What desires are fuelling you?
In order to build something that will last, we need to be connected to our creative impulse, and therefore our desires. Holding a vision for the future, and working towards that vision with daily practical and logical steps is how we honour Capricorn’s steady determination and discipline. When discipline is connected to desire, it becomes devotion.
This is a new moon to get ruthlessly clear about the visions and desires you hold, and what it is you are building towards. Taking action towards your goals while holding the vision and allowing space for magic and miracles. The supportive aspects to the outer planets in this chart will bring you unexpected blessings when you show up for your part of the equation.
The new moon is conjunct both Mercury and Mars, meaning our minds and our will are in alignment with the intentions we are setting our sights on here. Mercury in Capricorn brings mental clarity and the ability to align our words and thoughts with the goals we are setting the stage for. Mars in Capricorn aligns our action and willpower with the intentions we are placing our attention and intention on.
The moon is also making helpful aspect to the chart’s ruler, Saturn. We want Saturn on our side, and in a positive aspect, Saturn can bring stability and security to the seeds we are planting. Offering the structure and support to build our dreams from a very solid foundation.
The new moon makes a beautiful trine to Uranus, offering a supportive and unexpected perspective that might bring a breakthrough, visionary opportunity, and alignment that might feel like divine intervention. At the same time, the moon also sextiles Neptune. A helpful aspect from Neptune allows us to dream big and see beyond limitations, connecting us to infinite potential and possibility.
Particularly these helpful aspects to Uranus and Neptune bring an energy of magic, and encourage us not to fall into the over-functioning, over-working energy that so much Capricorn COULD bring. It’s helping us remember that when we show up for our part, and do the work that is our responsibility, that magic and miracles can come to us in ways we might never be able to expect or predict.

Working with Capricorn is about finding right relationship to responsibility. This looks like taking responsibility for our role in creating the life that we most want to live. Understanding what is in our power, and what isn’t — which is the true meaning of sovereignty — and then showing up wholeheartedly for what we do have agency over. Capricorn moves us out of victim consciousness and into creator consciousness. Where are you denying your power to create the conditions you need to thrive?
Responsibility also means releasing control over factors we have no business managing. Surrendering responsibility for what we can’t control, and allowing divine intervention to manage miracles in our honour.
We are creating the containers for the magic we desire to flow naturally towards us. Whatever it is you most desire, do you actually have the space and frameworks in order to receive it? If all of your dreams came true tomorrow, could you hold them? Capricorn asks us to set up the vessels and structures to hold the blessings we are calling in.
This becomes easeful and flows naturally from right responsibility. The Capricorn new moon wants you to cast your vision, and show up accordingly for your part to play in it’s unfolding. Take care of your side of the street. Show up for your part. And let the rest come to you magically from a place of true alignment.
The new moon in Capricorn asks that we set our intentions, dream big, and hold the vision. At the same time, the more we align our thoughts and actions with those visions and show up for what we have control over, the more magic and synchronicities can find us. The more miracles we will be able to welcome in.
