Full Moon in Gemini

This is our final full moon of the calendar year and the 9 year of the snake. This entire year has been about shedding skins and closing cycles. Maybe that has shown up for you in ways that were obvious, or maybe it’s been much more subtle. Either way, this final full moon has us finishing off those themes in a significant way.

Let’s explore the chart:

The most notable thing about this full moon is that it’s making a perfect grand square with the nodes. The square is exact. This means that whatever this full moon is illuminating, it is something significant for the overall plot of your soul’s evolutionary path.

This is because the nodes represent points of karma and dharma in the chart. The South Node asks us to clear, purify, and release karma and old stories from the past, and from past lives specifically. This is happening currently (and for all of 2025, until mid 2026) in the sign of Virgo. The shadow of Virgo is control, and all the ways our minds have a tendency to cling to expectations, outcome, and perfection. We are collectively purging karma around the places we find it most difficult to let go, and trust God. We notice our Virgo karmas in the ways we become judgemental, critical, or hyper fixated on detail both towards ourselves and others. Wherever you are still clinging to a sense of control through the ability to know the outcome, you are being asked to release this shadow of Virgo.

The North Node invites us to stretch beyond our previous capacity and expand into new potential, growth, and ultimately destiny. Embracing the North Node always requires us to face and cleanse the shadow aspects of the South Node, since they are inextricably linked. With the North Node currently in Pisces, we are being invited to expand beyond the mind, the ego, and our fear-based control mechanisms into a higher perspective. Rooted in deep trust in life and the divine, and a willingness to surrender to the wisdom and magic life is trying to bring us.

This full moon represents a pivotal point on the nodal journey — the ongoing process of releasing the karmas linked to the South Node in Virgo and stepping into the higher timeline of the North Node in Pisces. Nodal work is never easy or effortless. And this full moon, making perfect square to the nodes, illuminates a place where we may be getting stuck on that journey.

The full moon is ruled by Mercury, who is also the current ruler of the South Node, which amplifies the nodal influence. Plus, we are still wrapping up the post-shadow period of a very intense Mercury retrograde. With Mercury as South Node ruler, this retrograde has stirred up deeply personal and intimate wounds from the past. It might have felt like, over the last several weeks, something you thought you had fully healed or integrated came BACK up to the surface.

In the post-shadow period, we are having major revelations, clarity, integration and downloads about why this particular issue from the past is still haunting us. Mercury in Scorpio means that what is being revealed is not surface level, but a deep dive into the darker facets of the psyche. Post-shadow is bringing the insight we may have been missing to fully integrate the lesson, and therefore receive the blessings from whatever is coming to the surface.

This full moon plays a significant role in the illumination and culmination of those themes. Full moons reveal. They are also release points.

The full moon in Gemini opposite the sun in Sagittarius brings focus to our perspectives — the mind and it’s stories versus the felt and unwavering knowing that comes from truth. Whatever lessons from the past have reared their head lately, there is an invitation here to find a new perspective. To root beyond mental narratives and the mind’s limited tendency to categorize, separate, and isolate. To step outside of the gossip, overwhelming flow of data, media influence, and outside voices. To attune to a deeper, inner felt sense of knowing.

Sagittarius and Gemini is the axis of wisdom and information. In an era where we are constantly inundated with information, but often lack the patience and presence to attune to true wisdom — this full moon asks you to turn your compass towards Truth.

The moon in Gemini can stir up a lot of agitation, especially mental over-stimulation and frenzy. So instead of mindless scrolling, consuming thousands of data points, frantically packing your to-do list, or becoming overwhelmed with the chaos of the mind, can you use this moment to slow down?

Attune to the higher perspective. What is ultimate truth? What do you know, at an unshakable level? Can you practice being in relationship with life and spirit in a way that is trusting, open, and surrendered to the divine plan? Can you accept the things that you haven’t yet figured out, trusting the timeline of your own unique unraveling?

This full moon asks that you shift from mental games of “figuring it out” to the embodied wisdom and gnosis that comes from presence, trust, and openness to life itself. From this place, a new perspective is born. One that will help you embrace the expansive potential of the North Node in Pisces.
