This New Moon comes in like a welcome flood of fire, stoking the flames of our desire and fuelling our motivation. It is finally time to move powerfully towards the dreams that were seeded earlier this year.

This New Moon marks the first new lunar cycle of the New Year. We have significant Aries energy in the chart right now, with the Sun, Moon, Chiron, Saturn, Mars, Mercury, and Neptune all in the cardinal fire sign. Aries energy is the spark of momentum, motivation, and movement forward.

Earlier this year, Saturn and Neptune’s conjunction at the zero degree point of Aries brought the spark of a new dream and vision into our consciousness. However, the eclipse and retrograde energies of February and March brought a lot of instability, dreaminess, and a dissipation of the physical energy to move those visions into tangible form.

Now, with Mercury out of post-shadow, and moved into Aries along with Mars, we finally have the energy and vitality to take action on bringing those dreams into fruition. It is time to act.

The chart ruler, Mars, sits between Mercury and Saturn. Saturn can bring a restrictive element that could feel like having one foot on the break and one on the gas. However, when we work with the highest octave of Saturn here, it brings a stabilizing influence that invites us to ensure our propulsion forward is in alignment with our long-term legacy building, integrity, and sustainability.

Mercury is moving out of conjunction with Neptune, so while there is power behind the voice, expression, and communication here, we want to be mindful of Neptune’s deceptive influence. Ensuring our expression and communication are rooted in truth and our future intentions, versus being impulsive and perhaps even aggressive is extra important under these skies.

The New Moon itself is also conjunct Chiron, which indicates a tenderness that this moon is exposing. A wound around the ego identity structures that need to dissolve in order to bring the dream to life. A dismantling of the wound of separation that keeps us from aligning with the true desires of the soul.

This New Moon begs for action over ritual. It is time to move. Work with the momentum and fire while it is here.
