Cosmic Tea for the New Moon in Taurus 2026

NEW MOON | TAURUS | May 16, 2026

Happy New Moon in Taurus!! With all of the Aries energy and overall tension in the chart lately, Taurus season has felt a little less cozy and delicious than usual. However, this new moon is a beautiful opportunity to embrace Taurus’ sensual nature and tap into pleasure, rest, planting seeds (literally and figuratively) and tending to our material realm.

This is a wonderful new moon for setting intentions and manifestation, because the new moon is sitting with Mercury (which is an opportunity to work with your mind’s power of creation, and purify fear or ego based thinking) and Uranus (which brings potential for drastic, sudden, and unexpected change). I would highly recommend working with the energy of this new moon to EMBODY - literally through your body - the energy and timeline you desire to step into.

There is also a tender aspect happening simultaneous to the new moon, which is that Mars is exactly conjunct Chiron in Aries. This can aggravate and agitate a wound, perhaps inflaming a tender place. There is a positive way to work with this aspect, because Chiron is also where we heal the wound. Mars invites you to take action that supports you in choosing yourself: set that boundary, do the thing you know you need to do, stand up for yourself, fight for what you believe in. Likely this is revealing an action step around a theme that has been circling you for a little while. You know what you need to do.

Taking this aligned action towards healing (especially anywhere you have been self abandoning) will also help align you with you manifestations, since the Mars - Chiron alignment is making sextile to Venus, ruler of our new moon. Venus wants you to have all the things you desire. Mars wants you to brave in doing what must be done.

This is a new moon where you may be able envision or dream up a new future, a new reality, a new timeline for yourself. It’s such a supportive energy to lean into that potential and put you intention into the fertile soil and seeds you are planting.
